I have been follwoing AAR for a while now and find the reviews very usefull. I am looking to join my local airgun club and am looking for advice about which gun will suit my needs the best. I am looking at PCP as a start, probably .177 as I want to start with target shooting and maybe pest control in a year or so. So, I am looking for recommendations about which Gun, Scope, Case & Compressor is best. I have a budget of about £2K. All suggestions gratefully received.

Air Arms 400s .177 or if you're flush, Air Arms s510/Ultimate Sporter . OR if you're minted look at an FX Crown. Good luck, have a blast
Hi Duncan.
I'm also green around the ears! I'd be very interested in the responses you get as I'm in the same position, just not sure I want a compressor though? My initial thoughts are the JTS/Lee Enfield Airacuda Max or the Lee Enfield Sentry, but I must admit that Andy's video of the Gamo GX40 PCP deal put together by Vector Air does look quite tempting! Personally I think I prefer a wooden stock and a bolt action as opposed to a side lever action. I agree with you on the .177 calibre. At this stage I don't see a need for a heavier round. Good luck, and let us all know what you eventually go for and how you like it. Stay safe!
Regards,
Adam.
