🏆 The EPIC TWO Lite Competition!
Well, that was a lively one, wasn’t it? In fact, this has been our most popular competition of the year—only just pipped to the post by the EPIC TWO Target Edition giveaway, which still clings to the crown as the all-time favourite.
The message is loud and clear: you lot really do love the EPIC Airguns. And honestly, we can’t blame you. They’re great, they’re modern, and they point as naturally as your finger when someone nicks the last biscuit...
But let’s not drift into marketing waffle—you’re not here for that. You want the details, and this time there was a little controversy...
⚖️ The Weight Debate
📢 The question was:
“What weight is the EPIC TWO LITE ALU?”
Normally, our competitions are based on things we can test, measure, or otherwise wring out of the rifle in front of us. Failing that, we double-check with suppliers or even go straight to the manufacturer.
But in this case, we noticed something odd…
Some suppliers had the EPIC TWO Lite listed at one weight, while our scales (and yes, we double-checked) gave us a slightly different number. Turns out, we’d weighed it with air in the cylinder—which, as you clever lot know, adds just a smidge.
That smidge? About 0.01kg. Not exactly life-changing, but enough to cause a stir when comparing spec sheets across different websites.
And yes, we saw your comments saying: “Hang on, what about the longer aluminium-tubed variants?” Well, fair question—but here’s the thing: this competition was specifically for the EPIC TWO 300 Lite as reviewed. Surely, the question wouldn’t be about a completely different gun? So instead of getting too facetious about it, the best judgment was simply to use the figure that matched the model we actually had in hand.
So, with all that cleared up, the correct answer was:
👉 2.6kg
Yes, really. This thing is an absolute featherweight for a full-powered PCP.
🎯 And the Winners Are…
As ever, more than one of you nailed the correct answer, which meant it was time for the Random Name Generator of Destiny™ to step in and do its thing.
The winners...
🥇 Carl Boot of Shirebrook
🥈 Paul Cawdron of Norwich
🥉 John Forgacs of Abingdon
A massive congratulations to the lucky ones whose digital tickets came up trumps. For those whose tickets didn’t come up this time, commiserations. But take heart—there are always more competitions in the pipeline.
🚨 Don’t Forget
These giveaways are members-only, so if you’ve been sitting on the fence, now’s the time to get involved. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it means you get the chance to win some rather tasty kit.
So there you have it. Another competition wrapped up, another set of winners, and another reminder that some air rifles are apparently lighter than some people’s packed lunches.
Until next time: keep your pellets straight, your magazines full, and your debates about cylinder length sensible.
