Members Competition - Reximex ZONE
£2.00
The ZONE sits in that sweet spot where things start getting interesting. It is not a full bullpup, and that is very much the point. Instead, it uses a semi-bullpup layout to give you compact handling and rear-weighted balance without the complexity or cost that usually comes with true bullpup systems.
In other words, it gives you most of what people actually want from a compact PCP, without trying to empty your wallet in the process.
Why the ZONE makes sense
The ZONE is aimed squarely at entry to mid-level shooters who want something shorter, regulated, and genuinely usable across a range of scenarios. Whether that is range work, general shooting, or light pest control, it covers a lot of ground without pretending to be something it is not.
The regulated system keeps performance consistent across the shot string, and the 580mm barrel helps maintain efficiency despite the shorter overall length. With a 250 bar fill and 260cc cylinder, you get a solid amount of usable air for the price point.
Key Features
- Semi-bullpup layout with rear-set action
- Regulated PCP system for consistent performance
- 260cc air cylinder with 250 bar fill
- Built-in moderator shroud
- 1/2 UNF threaded muzzle for additional suppression
- Adjustable rubber butt pad
- Picatinny top rail for optics
- Picatinny lower rail for accessories
- Integrated magazine holder in stock
Performance & Handling
The semi-bullpup design keeps things compact without sacrificing barrel length, which makes it far easier to handle in tighter spaces compared to a traditional full-length rifle. It is well suited to general-purpose shooting where manoeuvrability matters.
As expected with this layout, the trigger has a bit more travel and feels softer than a traditional rifle setup. It is perfectly usable, just not trying to win any awards.
Build & Design
The synthetic stock keeps the weight around 3.6 kg and is built for practical use rather than showroom appeal. It is comfortable enough for longer sessions, and the adjustable butt pad helps fine-tune the fit.
The built-in magazine holder is one of those small features that actually earns its place, and the shrouded barrel provides some noise reduction straight out of the box. If you want to take it further, the 1/2 UNF thread allows for an additional moderator, though going too long can introduce clipping on sub-16J setups.
For what it costs, and what it delivers, the ZONE is one of the more sensible ways into compact PCP shooting without immediately jumping into premium territory.
