Hi All,
I hope your all well.
I am looking at buying my 1st ”entry level” PCP & although it is very subjective, I was wondering if I could have your opinions on my final selection please.
The Rifle will be used for targets, Rats & Pigeons. In no order -
Gamo Gx-40
Gamo Coyote
Nova vista alpha wood
Artemis M16
Lee Enfield Sentry
I look forward to your responses.
Cheers, Jason
The heavy-duty dual-arm by Universal Mounts has been a popular choice amongst customers. This hulk of TV wall mounts can support a TV weighing over 180lbs which is a lot people! It supports all the latest 82-inch Samsung flat-screen TVs. The ability to roll after installation is a pretty nifty quirk of this wall mount. However, people have been complaining that they did not receive the complete mounting equipment such as screws in the package and the whole purpose of buying online instead of going to places like Walmart for wall tv mounts was ruined. People did have to go to the nearby hardware store to find the appropriate equipment. But if you ask me what is the best tv mount then I’d definitely put this one on the list of the best wall mount for 82-inch tv wall mount.
Hi Chris,
Thank you for your message, it highlighted a lot of details that I hadn’t really considered & Aaron Cantrel was a great shout.
After re-watching all my research material & taking your points into consideration, I now know that it is the Artemis M16 that I’ll be buying.
I just have to choose a scope next.😂
Thank you for your assistance, it is much appreciate.
Many thanks & kind regards,
Jason
Hi Jason!
Your final selection is a quite wild mix of styles ;-) At least it seems, you don't want a bottle. You should narrow your personal preferences a bit...
# Bolt action or Side lever?
Although the bolt actions look more traditionally elegant, they are harder to cock and have nothing to do with a regular smooth and greased firearm action. A side lever is more comfortable, when above the grip, instead at the end of action.
# Adjustable stock?
There are easy-to-install aftermarket kits for cheekpieces, like for the "Sentry", as well as tons of adjustable butt-pads. Most of them require a wooden stock to make them fit.
# Stock type and material?
The stock defines the look. Pistol grip or even thumbhole for a modern to military look.
Wood colors can be altered, plastic can be painted... and all of them can be rubberized.
# Upgrading and Pimping?
If you like to play around with the looks of your rifle, each style offers different possibilities: Adding rails, accessories or high-tech elements doesn't fit a traditional hunting-style rifle. On the other side, stock carvings, even engravings or elegant oil finishes don't fit most modern style rifles.
Most important: The rifle has to please your own eye!
And your hands!!! Because there is plastic ($) as we know it, polymer ($$) and rubberized wood ($$$).
Greetings, Chris
One tipp on the Artemis: I like to watch Aaron Cantrel on Youtube... he is a fan of the Artemis product line. Accuracy, reliability, price and spare parts availability. Here are two videos on how he modifies his Artemis P15.
